Dr Anuja Garg

Dr. Anuja Garg is an Internal Medicine physician practicing in the Bay Area for the last nine years. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has been practicing medicine for the last 20 years. She did her medical school at India’s premier college, Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi India in 2002. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, an affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 2009. She is a member of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Garg is also board-certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) and has been a proud member of the Obesity Medicine Association.

Dr. Garg has a CDC-recommended Certificate of Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine.
She is an active member of the International Society of Travel Medicine

Dr. Garg did her aesthetic training from the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine (ABAM) and has a certificate of training in advanced aesthetics from the same. She is well-trained in injections like neuromodulators, and derma fillers and has the right machines and tools to help you achieve the perfect look.

Dr. Garg is also an USCIS-certified civil surgeon.

Dr. Garg strongly believes that good health is central to living a happy life. She believes that preventive care is an essential part of primary care. She has a special interest in treating chronic diseases like diabetes, thyroid problems, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia and did voluntary clinical rotations at the Department of Endocrinology, Baystate Health, MA during her tenure as an Internist there.

She is an avid listener and has invaluable clinical experience managing chronic illnesses. She is trained in performing outpatient procedures like joint injections, pap smears, incisions, and drainage. She is very thorough in her approach and makes sure all aspects of patient care are addressed each visit. She also did a primary care psychiatry fellowship from UC Davis School of Medicine and can treat the most common psychiatric problems presented in primary care settings on a day-to-day basis.

She is board certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She also believes that helping achieve a healthy weight by lifestyle management can help improve a patient’s outlook and boasts his/her confidence. She is ready to be your health coach and can guide you on how to shed those resistant extra calories through lifestyle changes. She is able to prescribe weight loss medicines to eligible patients.
